Ryan has a degree in physical education from Eastern Connecticut State University where he played lacrosse also. After College Ryan taught as a health and physical education teacher for several school districts including Amity Regional, Seymour, and for the State Technical School System.
Growing up in Miami Florida I was engaged in youth sports and excelled in Soccer throughout High School. During my free time you could find me at the local surf spot with my friends. After High School I did what everyone else does and joined a “big box” gym where I basically did the same Chest and Biceps routine every day.
I started Crossfit in the Spring of 2012, right in the middle of the Open. My first workout was 12.4 (150 Wall Balls, 90 Double Unders and 30 Muscle Ups). Needless to say, I couldn’t do the majority of the movements and scaled that workout; but regardless, I was hooked. What drew me to Crossfit
